This is a rare antique carved wood snuff box.

It is very delicately carved with a farm scene showing a child, a woman, a cow, some chickens, a dog and a cat.

On the back side, a man showing the sea to a woman near the fountain.

Each side consists of four carved wooden panels assembled with care.

The side is also richly carved.

This is a superb work on wood !

Dimensions: 8,2 x 5,2 cm  Thickness: 1,5 cm

Period: 1780 - 1820

Good condition, inside has been covered about 30 years ago.
