This is a most attractive English Victorian Tunbridge Ware inlaid Rosewood Box.
The gently domed top is inlaid with a depiction of Eridge Castle and with a tessellated floral border.
The convex sides similarly inlaid with a floral banding.
The inside is nice, it is also inlaid with a scene depicting a young boy with a falcon and a dog.
Dimensions: 27 x 22 cm Hight: 10,5 cm
Period: 1850 - 1880
Good condition, working key, a few scratches of use and some little cracks or hairlines, but there is no missing.
