Antique ICON Portrait Virgin and Child POLAND 1850

This is a charming antique Polish icon.

Dedicated to the Virgin, the oklad is made of gilt carved wood.

Only the faces and the hands, painted a tempera, can be seen.

Prayer "Beneath thy protection".
 

Dimensions: 17,5 x 14 cm.

Period: between 1850 and 1880.

VERY GOOD CONDITION , tiny scratches and signs of use.
