This is a superb and rare Minton porcelain cup and saucer.

Inscribed n° 3898 and stamped in the paste under the saucer: "MINTON".

Decorated with cranes and bamboo.

Minton artists were in the forefront of the Aesthetic Movement,

which dominated Victorian arts from the late 1860's to the late 1880's.

Nice colors, nice gilding.

Dimensions:

Hight of the cup: 7 cm. Diameter of the cup: 7 cm.

Diameter of the saucer: 12,3 cm.

Period: 1872 - 1875.

Perfect condition.
