This is a lovely antique box. 

Sterling silver and real antique tortoise shell.

 

 

Dutch hallmarks

letter date V or W for 1855 or 1856

 

French import mark, Cygne (swan):

Superb, heavy silver mount, thick tortoise shell !

 

Dimensions:

Hight: 2,5 cm.

Length: 9,5 cm. Wide: 7 cm.

 

 

Period: circa 1850

 

 

very tiny hole near the silver:

 

Pas de fêle, pas de restauration !!

 

NO HAIRLINE , NO REPAIR
