RARE STERLING SILVER ENAMELED SALT GEORG JENSEN DENMARK DESSIN SGJ SOREN JENSEN 1960

This is a rare sterling silver salt designed by Soren Georg Jensen for his father's famed silver company.



The salt is hammered and it is enameled inside.

 

French hallmark for import silver:

 



 

The bottom is marked "Dessin SGJ", "Denmark" and "Sterling".

It is also marked with Jensen's post-war hallmark and the pattern number "1067".

 

 



 

Soren was Jensen's fifth son, and began working at the silversmithy in 1949.

He served as artistic director from 1962 until 1974.

 



 

Origin: Denmark, ca. 1960.

 

Condition: PERFECT , no dings or monograms.

 

Delivered in its original box from the prestigious shop in


Paris, rue St Honoré.
