This is a superb and rare enamel plaque.
"Saint Aurélien in Limoges"
Inscribed at the back with enamel: Atelier. GM rue Cruche d'Or situé Limoges, numérotée : 25875 et monogramme de l'artiste.
Georges Magadoux (1909-1983)
French painter, he discovered the enamel in 1941 and was one of the principal fondator of the "Biennale internationale de l’émail de Limoges" in 1971.
Diameter: 26 cm.
Period: 1950 - 1970.
One little enamel missing at the back.
