This is a superb antique French inkwell.

 

In a shape of the French writer, Voltaire.

 

 

 

Paris porcelain, incised marks underneath:

 

 

Hand  painted and gilt.

 

XIXth century item !

 

 

 

Dimensions:

 

Hight: 21 cm !

 

 

Base: 12,5 x 11,5 cm.

 

Weight : 1,270 kilogramme !!

 

 

 

 

Period: 1850 - 1870

 

 

 

GOOD CONDITION, some gilding a bit worn, discrete.
