ANDRE METTHEY CERAMIC CANDY BOX 1900 - 1920

This is a superb ceramic candy box made by André Metthey ( 1871 - 1920)

one of the ceramic master of the begining of the XXth Century.

Decorated with blue leaves on craqueled grey background and gilt.

Inside is gilt on blue background, with a stylised sun in enamel at the middle.

Signed under the base with the incised monogram of the artist, "AM".
